　　Title: 海盗和他的眼睛

　　Pirate and His Eyes

　　 Cast:

　　    Helen,  school girl            (H)

　　    Jack,  school boy             (J)

　　    Miss Zhang,  science teacher   (Z)

　　   Scene 1

　　(下课了，Jack 戴着一个海盗的眼罩很神气地走进了教室 )

　　(Jack enters into the classroom vigorously with a pair of pirate's blinkers after classes.)

　　H: Jack, 你为什么带着一个海盗的眼罩呀？

　　H: Jack, why are you wearing pirate's blinkers?

　　J: 你不觉得那很酷吗？（摆出一个很酷的造型）

　　J: Don't you think they are cool? (Jack makes a cool gesture.)

　　  最近看了加勒比海盗，非常喜欢那里面的Jack船长，那是一个十分古怪的船长，古怪得非常可爱。

　　These days I watched the film Pirates of the Caribbean. I was crazy about one of the main characters -- Captain Jack. He is very eccentric in deed. But I think it is his eccentricity that makes him so cute.

　　（Miss Zhang走到了Jack和Helen身边）

　　(Miss Zhang walks towards Jack and Helen.)

　　    Z: Jack,你知道吗？只用一只眼睛看世界，世界是平面的。如果要与对方进行战斗的话，会打不中敌人的！

　　    Z: Jack, you know what? If you view the world with just one eye, it is flat. So when you have a gunfight with enemies you will miss your target.

　　    J: 怎么会呢？我用一只眼睛也可以看清面前的一切呀！

　　    J: How could it be? I can see everything clearly with one eye.

　　    （Helen在一旁捂住一只眼睛，边捂边说）

　　     (Aside, Helen says while covering one eye with her hand.)

　　    H: 我也能看清楚呀！

　　    H: So can I.

　　    Z: 如果你把一只眼睛捂住的话，你甚至都跳不到要打劫的船上，因为三米远的距离在你一只眼看来也许只有一米远，那样你会跳进大海中。

　　    Z: If you cover one of your eyes, you can't even jump into your target boat. With only one eye, you may regard three meters as one meter, thus you will fall into the sea before you rob the boat.

　　    J: 不会吧？我不信。Helen离我一米远，看我能不能跳到她那边！

　　    J: Really? I doubt. Come on, Helen, one meter from me now. See if I can jump there.

　　    Z: OK, no problem!

　　   （Helen走到Jack面前一米远的地方停住，Miss Zhang在旁边观看）

　　    (Helen stops walking with a meter away from Jack, and Miss Zhang stands by, watching.)

　　    H: 来吧！

　　    H: Come on, take your shoot.

　　    (Jack冲着Helen和Miss Zhang笑了笑，说)

　　   (Jack smiles at Helen and Miss Zhang and says :)

　　    J: 我来了！

　　    J: There I come.

　　    （Jack用力一跳，跳到了A身边）

　　     (Jack jumps to the side of Helen.)

　　    J: 看，我做到了！

　　    J: See, I did it.

　　    Z: 这个太简单了，我们来做一个游戏吧！

　　    Z: This is too simple. Let's play a game.

　　    J: 随便，我都不会输的。（对着观众作胜利的手势）

　　    J: As you like. I won't lose anyway. (He gesture a "V (victory)" towards the audience.)

　　   Scene 2

　　   （Miss Zhang拿出了一张纸，上面用红色的笔画了一个半径约为0.5厘米非常小的圆圈，并且拿出一支黑色的笔）

　　    (Miss Zhang takes out of a piece of paper, draws a very small circle of half a centimeter semidiameter in red pen, and takes out a black pen.)

　　Z: 你们看，这里有一张纸，上面有一个很小的红圈，你在离这张纸大约20厘米的地方用这支黑笔去点这个红圈，一定要点在圈内，看看你点的准不准？

　　Z: Here is how the game works. There is a piece of paper with a small red circle. You are required to spot the red circle with this black pen 20 centimeters away. We will see if you can do it correctly.

　　J: 没问题！

　　J: Deal!

　　（Helen 拿着纸（纸最好能固定在纸板上）离Jack20厘米站好，Jack拿着笔照做，点了大约10秒钟的时间）

　　 (Helen holds the paper (it would be better if the paper can be fixed on a piece of paperboard) and stands 20 centimeters away from Jack. Jack holds the pen and spots on the paper as instructed for about 10 seconds.)

　　Z: OK, 好了，我们看看有什么结果呢?( Miss Zhang 把纸展现给大家看)

　　Z: OK, show us the result. (Miss Zhang shows the paper to everyone.)

　　H: 好多黑点都在小红圈以外了呀！

　　H: There are many black spots outside the red circle.
